A digital stand-alone CCTV system consists of a self-management digital video recorder which is installed on the protected premises with a series of cctv cameras connected to it.

The cctv cameras can either be static surveillance cameras looking at one specific object or area or functional dome cameras that will move track and zoom onto a target.
