They can even be installed with user recordable messages that will deter even the most determined criminals. Security lighting systems from id-visual work by installing advanced external detectors around the perimeter of the building, or concentrating the detector on vulnerable points in the area to be protected.

The detectors are then connected back to a small graphical control panel that is mounted in an easy accessible location. It is at this point that the external detectors and external lighting can be controlled. The system will automatically turn on the security lights when an intruder crosses the external detectors beam. The external detector beam covers a huge 35 meter by 30 meter range at a 90 degree angle: This is done automatically at night when the light level falls below 2 lux. If the external detector beam is crossed not only does the security light activate, it also indicates on the graphical control panel the zone that has been activated giving you a warning.

More advanced systems allow you to record a message that will be played at the detector when crossed by an intruder. The warning message is either visual or audible or both and you have the function to turn this off if required. You can also turn the lights on permanently for a function or event if required.
